The Administration Console is a powerful tool that allows you to quickly and easily administer your professional development programs. It is in wide use across Pennsylvania to manage the official statewide Reading First initiative as well as being used by 21 Educational Service Agencies who are offering our professional development courses to districts, schools, and individual educators within their regions. This field proven, scalable tool gives you the ability to roll-out and manage a professional development initiative regardless of its scope.
Manager
The next level of permissions is Manager which allows an administrator to delegate selected management capabilities to others: for example at a district level, an Educational Service Agency or a building principal.
The Manager can then take over particular tasks or administer sub-groups (for example a school district) allowing the Administrator to concentrate on monitoring and guiding the overall program.
Facilitator
The course facilitators have their own facilitator console that allows them to setup the study group, communicate with it by discussion thread, group/individual email and facilitate live chats. It also provides them access to a facilitator guide and all the course materials they will need to facilitate the course. The console further allows them to review, respond to, and grade online coursework.

This is a very powerful study group management tool that has been designed to be easily used by non-technical people.
The Facilitator can:
- Manage a study group
- Set the course schedule and set coursework reminders
- Score coursework
- Communicate with individuals or the entire study group through email, discussion thread, or live chat
- Lead discussions
- Support individual and group learning
- Control the release of a study group to the next unit – this ensures that all study group members have completed their coursework and comprehended the content before moving to the next unit

An online wizard makes setting up the schedule for the study group an easy task

The facilitator can set the schedules and reminders for the course using a simple online form
Monitor
The Monitor role in the system allows the administrator to designate people to quality check and review the online coursework of the study groups and the quality of facilitator feedback and guidance.
The Monitor has the ability to access a study group and review the course discussions and other submitted work as well as review the facilitator input and comments.
The Monitor function allows a monitor to:
- Review study groups
- Quality check cohort discussions and online work
- Review and monitor facilitator performance
- Gather best practices and samples of exemplary work
